Hygge, Ikea, Vikings and H&M - Do you know what all of this things have in common? They all come from the same place - Scandinavian Peninsula. We have to admit that our northern blonde friends are very often the pioneers when it comes to a lot of things.
They have the best designers, architects, amazing healthy food and also Stockholm is becoming the new fashion capital in Europe. Innovation, simplicity and happiness are very often the most important factors in the product making process.
It’s all coming from the Hygge philosophy of life that is a Nordic word that describes a feeling of cosiness and content and enjoying the good things in life with good people around you.
Maybe this is why Nordic nations are much happier than the rest of the world.
Year after year all the reports measuring the citizens' happiness are putting one of the Nordic countries at the top of the list.
For a long time it was Denmark and now it is Norway and it is not surprising to us. In La Folie our two most busy weeks in the season are: week 7 and week 9 also called as a Danish and Swedish week.
Believe us, these guys know how to have fun and make a party.
They also have their favourite beer - Skoll Tuborg. In La Folie Douce we are really proud to have this beer as our partner.
Tuborg Skøll is a refreshing aromatised beer with a perfect combination of vodka and fruits. It has a bright golden colour, mild sparkles and a white head. The aroma is fruity and dominated by citrus. The taste is characterised by green lemon and grapefruit, a well-balanced mix of vodka, sweetness and tartness with a slight bitterness in the aftertaste.
Now you may know why Skoll is our WTF Party partner, the reason is simple, because both the beer and the party are fresh and unpredictable.
Skoll in most of the Scandinavian languages means cheers and during the whole season we can hear “Skoll” very often from our customers holding blue bottles in their hands.
So if you still didn’t try it, make sure to do it next time, you won’t regret it!
